10 bucks, tops.

Last year I fell hard for a piece of art. I mulled it over for about 6 months because this would be my first purchase of ‘real’ art from an art gallery.

$10P-8I finally gave in and bought it. When I showed it to my good friend Mia this was her reply. I called bullshit.

$10P-9

Last weekend we finally got to see what she was capable of.

Thank you, Neil Harrison. I really love the pink square.

I’m so glad she found me for May 31

There won’t be anymore Saturday posts introducing new characters. That said since I have decided that the show was completed I have found and made about another 7 characters. I took this photo in an alley way and then found a piece that I made into one bad ass graffiti boy.

2014 backalley heartWhen the show has been finalized I will post the information here for anyone reading along in Toronto. The fact that I am this close to having my own art show makes my heart full.

Moving forward the weekends are now going to be spent heading up North to start creating my Glamping Camp Site! Next Saturday will be the first post showing what is going on with this part of my life. Stay tuned!!

I’m so glad she found me for April 12

alien matchmaker

I found this one yesterday while riding my bike to Value Village. I was listening to “Took Me By Surprise” by Jill Barber and thinking about someone I like. Based on what was occurring the moment I biked by it, this one is called Alien Matchmaker.

couch art

I wanted to get some new art for above my couch. I looked at a lot of very beautiful art and came to the conclusion that a bigger piece of art will cost a bigger amount of money. Fair enough. Then I got lucky. I bought an old drawer that was roughed up and covered in paint because really whose to say that’s not abstract art. The other fellow I found tucked into a corner of an antique shop north of Toronto. Total cost $85.00
