This is an art show. A folk art show about shifting the way you see things with the help of some googlie eyes. We make cities and when they break down or break apart we call those discarded pieces garbage. When we wander in mother nature we collect discarded pieces; rocks, shells, leaves, branches. Maybe we bring them home with us to calm us or ground us, center ourselves and remind us of a beginning. Who knows. There is value in not only what we build but in what it becomes when left to the elements. There is beauty in building up and breaking down when you use those pieces to start anew. I have collected these pieces to remind us that although cities are built by us they are living entities beyond our control. A collection of characters, all waiting to be discovered.
